Responsibilities
Clinical:Cover labor & delivery including surgical coverage. Additional duties may include hospitalist work, continuity clinic, or specialty clinics, depending on qualifications.
Teaching & Education:Opportunity to work with a diverse faculty and train future healthcare providers for underserved populations
Research: Encouraged to develop scholarly interest and produce scholarly work (e.g., national presentations, manuscript submissions every 1-2 years).
Supervision:Likely to supervise Advanced Practice Providers
Institutional Citizenship: Improve access, cost, quality, and health outcomes. Engage in community outreach, attend professional events to assist with program and relationship development, and maintain timely documentation and satisfaction metrics.
Requirements
MD or DO required
Board Certified/Board Eligible in Family Medicine
Completed ACGME-approved 3-year family medicine residency with strong perinatal healthcare training
Fellowship training in operative obstetrics is mandatory
Desirable: Additional fellowship training and/or an advanced degree (e.g. MPH)
